When we moved to France 2011, I got the opportunity to work on re-roofing several ancient granite houses. This involved designing the frame or roof structure, building it in the workshop and then assembling on site and finishing with dormers, insulation and volige (sarking boards/veil in French) ready for hand hewn slates.
