Making contemporary furniture designs using traditional construction methods with reclaimed and sustainable hardwoods was at the heart of the Cider House ethos. Finding original ways of designing everyday things that have been made for thousands of years is a challenge, but Jonathan Loy’s iconic design for the Croix de Beau bed proved to be practical, versatile, striking and built with quality materials and craftsmen to last a lifetime.
